Unlike the Pittsburgh Vintage Gran Prix that I attend and photograph, the races at the VIR are not restricted to smaller capacity engines. This vintage - gorgeous red, GT-40, was running fast up the long back straight. Hearing the big V-8’s wind out is still quite the experience.
