And we did. In Poughkeepsie NY there is a bridge across the Hudson River that once had a double line of RR tracks. Today it is a two mile bike and walking path high over the river. We arrived in time on a tremendous afternoon in the mid 60’s with little wind and took a stroll. Great views, both north and south along the river. Lots of people, and a few dogs, taking advantage of the nice day. You also get to see an interesting perspective from above of the Little Italy section of Poughkeepsie.
Jill says it was such a perfect day with the view and the weather that it was restful and peaceful. Agreed.
