This view is on the mountain ridge on the east side of Death Valley. The couple in the foreground gives a sense of the scale of this place. Just past them you a see a bit of the Golden Trail that leads to the floor of the valley - about a 2.5 mile walk. The colors, the heat, the sense of grandeur is hard to match.
